Chris Avellone and I worked very closely on the New Vegas DLCs, especially the award-winning Old World Blues, where we explored a variety of scifi themes in the world of Fallout. To help produce the best content possible, we’ve brought on several members of the Fallout: New Vegas team including myself, Chris Avellone, Jessica Johnson, Kevin Manning, and Dan Rubalcaba. Revisiting a game that has inspired other awesome games (such as Dead Space and BioShock) requires the right team for the job, so we’ve been ramping up our team with AAA talent from projects like Planetside, Fallout, and even the original System Shock. ![]() I often call him the Captain Picard to my Riker -) Stephen Kick, our CEO, has been an inspirational visionary for Nightdive Studios and is responsible for making all of this happen. Luckily, we have some amazing folks on the team to help us out. It is slated to launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One at a later date.Rebooting a game series that so many hold near and dear is a daunting task. System Shock is launching on May 30th for PC via Steam, GOG, and EGS. But the time is approaching when we can all arctic onboard the Citadel Station and fight for our lives! It has been a long time coming, with its original Kickstarter initiating the project over 7 years ago. ![]() If you’re curious about how the remake plays, you can check out the free demo on Steam for yourself. ![]() Currently, players can pre-order the game via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store for $39.99. Although the game is planning on coming to both last-gen and current-gen systems, there is no word on when the console launch may be. PC fans will have first dibs on the remake with a planned console launch announcement at a later date. The other catch is that it will not launch on all platforms simultaneously. Initially planned for a March release, the studio has finally dedicated itself to a specific launch date. Prime Matter and Nightdive Studios have officially announced that their highly anticipated remake of the cult classic System Shock has been delayed until the end of May. ![]()
